A really excellent bike, very light and handles well.
A lot of bike for money!
25 miles first run out, through flat moorland, narrow ridges and some steep downhill cobbles and rough. Handled it all really well and actually better overall than my full suspension 26” Bike. Gearing excellent and flies on the flat, yet eats the uphill way better than the 26” bike.
Looking to do some harsher tracks next time out but no doubt this will handle it well.
Seriously good spec for the money.
Brakes are progressive and strong
1x11 gears smooth and deliver power even when dropping down again mid climb.
Frame, post and bars seems robust and well made.
Remote Suspension lock off good and preload works well
Tubeless rims are great.
Things to improve:
Pedals slippery and need upgrading to steel with longer spikes
On an Xl frame, why a longer stem ? 90mm gives poor feedback and control, changed for a 60mm and feels better already
Tubeless ready rims yet not tyres ?
With not wanting to spend a fortune and wanting a hard tail bike for riding trails and the local bike park and this works a treat. It was an upgrade from my Rockrider ST100 and it’s a massive upgrade. Paint work is much better, the graphics are under the lacquer as apposed to stickers on top. The gears are simple being 1x11 so no accidentally getting in the wrong gear, it’s also has excellent range for the hills. So far the bike feels sturdy and was set up well from the shop and nothing has had to be altered as yet. Certainly been able to hit trails much harder and with more confidence than my previous bike. The bike is also light when comparing to other people’s bikes so this too makes going uphill much easier. When I was doing my research before buying this bike, trying to get the same spec elsewhere I was looking at a lot more money so very happy with this.
Wow where do I start
Brake calipers over tightened and screws have damaged the paint
Cables rub on suspension mount and down to bare metal within a fortnight
Rear derailleur constantly loses index
Customer service by ROBERT @ NEWCASTLE is horrendous
Told me he won't replace suspension top
They removed RED Calipers and replace with GREY
the attitude is basically if your not happy return it for a refund
I love the bike without the issues
I'm not so sure the issues are worth the hassle
I like to think i am a savy shopper and shopped around alot looking for a bike. For this sort of cash and for what you get i must say i was very impressed. the bike handles great the gears are ample for the sort of cross country cycling i do, with a high enough gear set to keep me moving great along the road too.
The Bike is okay, but I was mostly dissapointed that the Rockshox forks advertised on this bike are not what you actually receive. The forks are advertised as The 120 mm Rockshox 30 Silver Air hydraulic fork, when in fact they are coil sprung forks. They are not bad but nowhere near as good as air forks. My bike came with a buckled rear wheel as well, and after complaining was told to send a photo of said problem? which is impossible and no way to send a video clip so I just paid £10 at my local bike shop and got it fixed to save frustration. Not a bad bike, but definately better bikes out there for the money. Poor experience with Decathlon, wouldnt recommend,
Ordered the bike as a Birthday presents, all confirmed , but just one day before delivery date with no notice they cancelled the order. Such a disappointment, no heads up, not notification no apology, nothing. The reason i Buy from Decathlon is the service and customer care otherwise there are plenty shone ( online or offline ) out there who sell Cycling equipment.
